Bailey DeBiase is a visual artist specializing in detailed black and white ink drawings. She recently began incorporating hand cut paper works into her practice and in conjunction with her drawings. Memory, both personal and collective, is the main focus of her work, and she is constantly influenced by her surrounding nature, the changing of seasons, and the passing of time. Her primary mediums of ink and cut paper allow her to explore themes of permanence and fragility when it comes to both human experience and the boundaries of the materials themselves.
DeBiase received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Wheaton College (MA) in 2020 with a double major in Visual Art and Psychology. She grew up in Carrabassett Valley, Maine, and is currently located in Portland, Maine.
